Height: 2 to 4 feet tall
Spread: 2 to 3 feet wide
Leaf Size: Up to 12 inches long, with dramatic green and lime marbled patterns

Overview:
‘Hilo Beauty’ is a unique ornamental elephant ear variety featuring glossy, heart-shaped leaves with vibrant chartreuse and lime-green mottling over dark green. It thrives in tropical or subtropical climates and is popular for container gardens, water features, or shaded landscapes.

Light: Prefers partial shade to bright, indirect light. Too much direct sun may fade variegation or scorch leaves.

Water: Keep soil consistently moist. Tolerates wet conditions and can grow near ponds or in rain gardens. Avoid letting the soil dry out completely.

Humidity: High humidity preferred. Thrives in tropical environments or with regular misting in dry conditions.

Temperature: Best in 70–90°F. Not frost-tolerant. In cooler climates, grow as an annual or overwinter tubers indoors.

Soil: Rich, organic soil with excellent moisture retention. Tolerates heavier soils if drainage is good.

Fertilizer: Feed every 2–4 weeks during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer to support vigorous growth and bold coloration.

Care Note: Can be grown in containers or in the ground. If overwintering indoors, store the tuber in a cool, dry place after foliage dies back.
